WE ARE ONE! - Critical Elements for Promoting Positive Behaviors within a Learning Environment

The workshop offers many opportunities for adults who are charged with the care and education of young children numerous strategies that can be immediately implemented in the classroom to promote positive behaviors. Topics concerning consistency, routines & schedules, responsive relationships, and the impact of words are covered.  These concepts will be explored through various engagements such as; discussions, role plays, video presentations, case studies and drawings. Throughout the workshop, early brain development and childhood trauma will be addressed as it will demonstrate the importance of how consistent relationships, interactions, routines, etc. affect the developing brain and have lasting life outcomes for young children. This is a highly interactive workshop and will require participants to be engaged in all exercises. Participants will have opportunity to practice and prepare reflections.
